The hiring company is a privately held, fully-integrated industrial packaging distributor.  You are someone that has proven you can sell a consultative, complex, engineered solution.  The role is a Packaging Automation Equipment Specialist, supporting a sales team of 9+ sales reps.  I'm the Recruiter who will connect the two of you together.




You are someone with more than just technical ability.   Full-automatic and semi-automatic equipment will help continue to fuel its growth. This individual will have a tremendous opportunity to make an impact on the organization as a whole because your success in selling equipment will also lead to additional consumables business.




The hiring company has a solutions-provider driven sales culture.  This person will have decision-making authority when it comes to key factors that influence and drive packaging equipment sales. The role will come with quite a bit of autonomy regarding day-to-day sales activities.




You will work with vendors, sales management and customers, but will need to be able to work independently as well.   50% of your time will be spent developing self-generated leads while the other 50% will be spent working with the other internal sales reps and outside vendors.




The Packaging Equipment Specialist will:




  • Initiate and implement sales and marketing programs around packaging machinery.
  • Lead training activities with the sales team and service department related to automation.
  • Come up with equipment solutions from plant audits/surveys and then spec the best equipment for the customers needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with Plant Engineers, Equipment Purchasers, Plant Managers and Operations Management.
